How to Make a Sherbet Watermelon

Guys. You are so awesome.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement with yesterday's post.

I truly love the little DIY community and how we all just seem to get each other. :)

Today I have an easy tutorial for one of my favorite summer treats.

A sherbet watermelon.

Yummmmmmmm.

Here's what you'll need.

Step 1: Take your lime sherbet and defrost it a little.

I put mine in the microwave for three, 30 second intervals and that gets it pliable, but not liquefied.

Step 2: Line your bowl with Saran Wrap

This is to keep the sherbet from sticking to the bowl when you go to remove it.

Step 3: Take about half of the sherbet and put it into the middle of your bowl, then, using your spatula, gently spread the sherbet evenly on the bottom and sides of the bowl.

This is to make the "rind" for the watermelon.

Stick the "rind" back in the freezer.

Step 4: Soften the raspberry sherbet the same way you did the lime and pour about 3/4 of the bag of chocolate chips in.

This is to make the "watermelon" part.

Mix.

Step 5: Pull the bowl with the "rind" back out and pour/scoop the raspberry/chocolate chip mixture into the middle of the bowl.

Step 6: Stick your watermelon back in the freezer for about an hour.

Step 7: When you're ready to eat, turn the bowl upside-down on a plate a wiggle the watermelon loose. You might need it to soften for a minute or pull on the Saran wrap to loosen it.

Step 8: Slice it like you would a real watermelon and enjoy!

It's a super easy and refreshing treat. :)
